A check that takes a minute, needs no app and no document scan, and produces a record you can show your client.
Most teams start with one and expand once recruiters see the completion rate.
Send the link with your first reply to an application. Real candidates finish it in a minute; fabricated pipelines thin out before a recruiter spends time on them.
Best for: high-volume light industrial, warehouse, hospitality.
Confirm that the person you interviewed is the person being submitted to the client. Attach the verification record to the submittal.
Best for: remote roles, client-facing placements, per-diem healthcare.
Returning workers and long gaps between assignments. A quick re-check catches a contact record that has quietly gone stale or changed hands.
Best for: seasonal rehire, float pools, contractor renewals.
Every extra step in a hiring funnel costs applicants. That is why this one is deliberately small: two fields, two checkboxes, one tap. It works on any phone browser, needs no download and no account, and asks for no Social Security number, no date of birth, and no photograph.
Candidates who decline are not penalised by us and never see a score about themselves. They are told who asked, what is checked, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.

Phone-based verification is faster but needs a mobile line. Keep a fallback path for candidates without one.
Start in the browser. Copy a link into whatever your recruiters already use to message candidates.
Invite recruiters, see who requested what, and keep an audit trail per user.
Export a PDF showing what was verified, when, and the consent the candidate gave.
A REST API and webhooks for teams that want checks triggered from their own ATS.
Any added step has some cost. This one is designed to be the smallest possible: no app, no account, no upload, and it works on the phone the candidate is already holding. Send it at intake for a week and compare your own completion numbers before rolling it out further.
You will get an unverified result. That is common with prepaid plans, family plans, and internet calling numbers, and it is not evidence of fraud. Keep an alternative route open, such as a document-based check or an in-person step, and apply it consistently.
That is your policy decision, but apply it uniformly to everyone in the same role and keep a documented alternative for candidates who cannot complete a phone check. Inconsistent application is where discrimination risk comes from.
No. It confirms identity. Criminal, employment, education, and credit checks are consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and are performed by licensed partner agencies, not by VeriAxis. See our compliance page.
Only users in your workspace, and the candidate, who sees their own outcome. We do not sell candidate data, do not use it for marketing, and do not build a cross-employer profile of anyone.
Verification records are deleted ninety days after the request is closed, unless you ask for a shorter window. Candidates can request earlier deletion. Details in our Privacy Policy.
